The festival opens with the Calmus Ensemble Leipzig and Maurice Clement (organ) at the Trinitarian Church, presenting a program that spans from the Renaissance to Romantic and contemporary vocal music.\nAt the castle, the concert “Der Ruf des Horns” features works by Mozart, Brahms, Reuter, and Kurtág, where the horn serves as a sonic thread connecting different musical eras.\nThe Anaphora Trio takes over the Ancien Cinéma with an evening of jazz that blends techno-inspired rhythms, improvisation, and non-European influences.\nFor children and families, “Coppélia – Eng ongewéinlech Popp” tells a whimsical story through music and dance, full of imagination.\nThe closing concert brings together Mozart’s intimate Clarinet Quintet and Strauss’s sharp-edged suite “Le Bourgeois gentilhomme” – a final encounter of sonic finesse and stylistic sophistication.\nOld and new, poetry and play come into dialogue – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.\n\nSunday 2/11 | 17:00 | Eglise des Trinitaires | Calmus Ensemble Leipzig\nFor this exceptional concert, Kammerata Luxembourg welcomes the renowned Calmus Ensemble from Leipzig – a vocal quintet that has captivated audiences for over 25 years with its precise tone, stylistic diversity, and profound musical expression. Together with Maurice Clement, Kammerata’s organist, a true musical dialogue unfolds: between voices and the breath of the organ, between the Renaissance and contemporary creation, between formal rigor and sonic freedom.\nThe evening revolves around the four elements – water, earth, air, and fire – symbols of both the forces of nature and inner states of being. The cycle Les éléments de l’être, composed especially for Calmus by Harald Banter, finds its counterpart in the Duetti by Johann Sebastian Bach – refined organ pieces brought to life by Maurice Clement as mirror-like responses.
