The 7th edition of MusicDays Vianden invites you on a new journey into the heart of music, history and imagination.

Set against the exceptional backdrop of Vianden and its rich cultural heritage, churches, the castle and historic sites become spaces for discovery and emotion. Across five events, internationally renowned artists, emerging talents and audiences from all walks of life come together around a programme ranging from sacred music to jazz, from fantastical worlds to masterpieces of Romanticism and contemporary soundscapes.

On October 30, Funeral Music will bring together the Ensemble Vocal du Luxembourg, organist Paul Kayser and the Sacqueboutes du Nord at the Church of the Trinitarians, under the direction of Matthias Rajczyk, for a concert imbued with depth and contemplation.

On October 31, Schattenwelten will transform Vianden Castle into the setting for an extraordinary Halloween evening. Kammerata Luxembourg and theremin virtuoso Carolina Eyck will bring music and literature together, giving life to ghosts, witches and other mysterious creatures.

On November 6, jazz will take over Ale Kino with Luxembourgish singer, guitarist and composer Veda Bartringer, accompanied by her quartet.

On November 8, young audiences will set out in the morning on the trail of Jacquette of Luxembourg at Vianden Castle with Kinnekskannerschoul, an interactive musical performance that combines history and adventure in a playful way. In the late afternoon, Kammerata Luxembourg will bring the festival to a close in the gentle glow of candlelight with magnificent piano quintets by Louise Farrenc and Franz Schubert.

Bringing together heritage and contemporary creation, past and present, MusicDays Vianden makes music a space for encounter, sharing and emotion, deeply rooted in the identity of Vianden.
